Partial Stroke Testing
Maxon PSCheck™ Partial Stroke Testing Technology
Maxon PSCheck™ Partial Stroke Testing technology will identify a potential failure or signal a hard failure of the Maxon Series 8000 Pneumatic Shut-off Valve by monitoriing and tracking the amount of time required for the valve to "trip", signaling the valve's capability to open or close. Gradual increases in the length of time required for the valve to trip indicate potential performance issues.
The Maxon PSCheck™ Partial Stroke Test signals a PASS/FAIL result that can be seen either from an alarm LED, touchscreen display indicator or communicated to the DCS directly. The Maxon PSCheck™ also captures testing results over a user-selectable period of time, producing trending information that can visually illustrate degradation in valve performance to indicate when a valve potentially may fail.
Offered in three different configurations scaled to fit any budget and installation requirement, the Maxon PSCheck™ can operate via a manual push-button test, an interactive on-board touchscreen display, or a remote DCS connection. It is also available as a 1-2 valve system, a 3-5 valve system, or a 6-9 valve system.
The Maxon PSCheck™ and Series 8000 Valve are both SIL 2 compliant, and when combined as a fully Safety Instrumented System (SIS), a SIL 3 certification is possible.
