MAXON Valves Prove Lowest Cost of Ownership in Ohio

"Not one leaked! Close to 150 shut-off and vent valves and not one leaked after 16 years!"

In April of 2006, a large automotive manufacturer experienced the benefits of MAXON shut off valves.  At their plant in Ohio, 240,000 cars are produced per year on equipment originally installed when the plant was built in 1989.  The production line contains ovens, make up air heaters, and spray booths all equipped with MAXON Series 5000 fuel shut off valves and STO-A vent valves.  In all, this manufacturer owns over 150 MAXON valves in this plant.

NFPA code recommends a leakage check of all shut off valves annually.  Being safety and code conscious, this car manufacturer undertook their annual inspections as required starting in April.  During the check, each and every MAXON valve was tested for leakage to ANSI Class VI standards, the most stringent category for fuel safety valves.

After 16 years, all 150 MAXON valves tested with not one leak found.  That’s 16 years of reliable, maintenance free service as only MAXON valves can do.  “Lowest cost of ownership” isn’t an unfounded claim.  It’s what MAXON valve customers have known for the past 80 years.  Soft seated, cheaper valves always cost more in the end when the seats and actuators fail.

16 years... 150 MAXON valves... no leaks!
